A Powerful, Delicious, and Nutritious Breakfast Start to Finish in 15 Minutes

No Time to Make Breakfast!? 

This article and video were created for a client who said, “I want to eat healthy in the morning, but I don’t have time to make breakfast, so I just eat toast and butter.”  

Toast and butter aren’t bad.  They are great for survival.  However, compared to the meal I will share with you below, they are low in nutrition and protein, and not ideal for fat loss. 

20-Minute Homemade Breakfast: Prep, Cook, Eat, Clean-Up

I ran a test and ran a video of it to see if I could prep, cook, eat, and clean up the kitchen in under 20 minutes. The reason I made a ketogenic-style breakfast in this video is because this particular client eats far too many carbohydrates throughout the day, so I wanted them to experience how filling and empowering meals can be with virtually no carbs.

The Ingredients

This is a ketogenic breakfast, which means it is very low in carbohydrates.  Here are the ingredients:

*In the video I used 5 eggs, but for most people, 4 is enough.  If you have cholesterol issues, please adjust accordingly.  

The Nutrition 

Here are the total calories, protein, net carbs (this means carbohydrate minus dietary fiber), and dietary fat.

This is a very nutrient dense meal, mainly because it is 90% whole food and virtually no carbohydrates.  For 436 calories, you are getting lots of micronutrients as you can see below. 

Now, if you were to eat the two slices of white bread with enough butter to make it enjoyable, here is the nutrition:

Wrapping it Up

The point of this article is to demonstrate that delicious, nutrient-dense food doesn’t need to take a lot of time to prep, cook, eat, and clean up.  The added nutritional information of each was to show you what each meal is made up of in terms of macro and micronutrients.
